The Torah commands us to love our neighbor. Our chesed committees put that commandment into daily action throughout Brooklyn and beyond.

Bikur Cholim

Volunteers visit congregation members and community neighbors who are hospitalized or homebound, providing comfort, companionship, and practical support.

Food & Pantry Support

Weekly Shabbat food packages and emergency assistance ensure that no family in our community goes without nourishing meals, especially during the holidays.

Shiva Support

Our caring community surrounds mourning families with meals, prayer, and presence during the shiva period, honoring the tradition of comforting the bereaved.

Senior Outreach

Regular visits, transportation assistance, and social events keep our senior members connected, valued, and engaged in the life of the synagogue.

Tzedakah Fund

Our confidential tzedakah committee provides financial assistance to community members experiencing hardship, funded by the generosity of our congregation.

Every newcomer receives a warm welcome, a dedicated buddy, and an invitation to get involved — because everyone deserves to feel at home from day one.
